It's Time To Take A Seat: 4 Reasons You Should Ditch The Shower And Add A Bathtub

If you don't have a bathtub in your home, it's time to have one installed. While showers are a great way to keep clean, they totally miss the mark on other aspects of personal hygiene. In fact, sometimes it's not even about hygiene. If you can't think of one good reason to ditch the shower, and install a new bathtub enclosure, here are four of them for you to consider.

Give Yourself a Place to Relax

Personal hygiene is important. You want to get the dirt and grime off your body. However, sometimes you need more than simple cleanliness. Sometimes you need someplace to sit back, soak, and relax after a long, hard day. Unfortunately, you can't do any of those things in a shower. That's where a bathtub comes in handy. If you don't have a bathtub in your house, you're missing out on the perfect opportunity to sit back in some hot water, and relax.

Make it Easier to Wash the Kids

If you've got older kids, they can handle their own personal hygiene needs. However, if you have young children, a shower isn't going to cut it. This is particularly true if you have toddlers. It can be next-to-impossible to get little ones clean while they're standing in the shower; if you can get them in the shower at all. When you have little ones, you need a bathtub, with an enclosure. The enclosure will ensure that your kids can't splash water all over the bathroom while they're bathing. Simply close one side while you bathe your kids from the other side. Your kids will get clean, and your bathroom will stay dry.

Increase the Resale Value

Selling your home is hard enough in a bad economy. The last thing you want is to make it even harder on yourself. If you're planning on selling your home in the future, you owe it to yourself to install a bathtub. Having at least one bathtub in your home can increase the resale value, and make it more desirable to prospective buyers.

Get Rid of the Germ-Infested Shower

If your shower has seen better days, and the bath enclosure is covered in germs, bacteria, and soap scum, it's time get rid of it. Tossing out the old shower, and replacing it with a new bathtub and enclosure, will not only give your bathroom a whole new look, it will also give you a healthier way to get clean. This is particularly true if your old shower is loaded with moldy fungus.
